HOW WE WORK

How We Started Karon

1998

SOK was Started out of his parents garage

The passion behind Wicked Metalworks LLC started right after high school. From an early age, Chris knew working on vehicles and customizing rides was more than just a hobby—it was the path he wanted to pursue. He began building and modifying vehicles and eventually launched Slammed Out Kustoms, where he focused on custom builds, lowered trucks, and unique automotive projects.

2013

SOK out grew the Garage

By 2013, SOK had outgrown the house garage where it began and moved to Kaukauna, marking the first major step in the company’s growth and expanding its ability to take on more custom automotive and fabrication projects.

2017

SOk Moved again

In 2017, SOK moved into a small shop in Freedom, Wisconsin, marking another important step in the company’s growth. After starting out in a house garage and later expanding to Kaukauna, the move to Freedom gave Chris the space and opportunity to continue building the business. With a dedicated shop, SOK was able to take on more projects, improve workflow, and focus even more on custom automotive work, fabrication, and vehicle builds. The new location allowed the shop to grow its reputation in the Fox Valley for quality craftsmanship and passion for customizing cars and trucks.

2020

SOk was closed

In 2020, SOK closed its shop, marking the end of an important chapter, but the experience and skills Chris gained during those years laid the foundation for his next venture. After spending three years working a traditional 9–5 job, Chris realized something was missing—his drive for working on vehicles and creating custom projects never faded.

2023

Wicked Metalworks LLC

In 2023, Chris decided to follow his lifelong passion and officially launched Wicked Metalworks. Built on years of hands-on experience, Wicked Metalworks specializes in custom automotive work, metal fabrication, auto body repair, and professional automotive painting. Today, Wicked Metalworks serves car enthusiasts and everyday drivers throughout Appleton, WI, and the Fox Valley, combining quality craftsmanship with a love for vehicles that started it all.
